To install NCDware:

1. Place the

NCDware CD-ROM in the CD-ROM drive.

2. To run setup, choose one of the following:

❏ From the menu bar, select File ⇒ Run. Then type

d:\WINNT\setup and press Return (where d is the

CD-ROM drive).

❏ Double click on the File Manager and select the CD-ROM

drive. Select \WINNT\setup.exe from the ﬁles listed.

The

NCDware License Agreement appears.

3. Read the license agreement and select Yes to accept the license

terms.

If you select No, the Exit Setup dialog box appears. Select

Resume to go back to the license agreement. Select Exit

Setup to quit.

4. The Select Components dialog box appears, listing the

components you can install. The default selection, Prepare

System Services, installs the ﬁle transfer software (

TFTP) and

the address discovery services (

BOOTP) needed for NCDware.

Note Throughout the installation procedure a selected item is

designated by a box with an x inside. Click on the box to

clear the selection or click on an empty box to select an

item.
